THIS IS WHERE ALL OF OUR FAVORITE THINGS CONVERGE.

A confluence is the junction where two rivers come together, where multiple things merge. Confluence is a place where art, music, and recreation come together alongside the river to create that place of convergence for the community. Confluence is a place where neighbors and friends can meet to learn, grow, create, move, and find joy, together.

  • We know that art has the ability to invigorate and excite people. Having a tangible and visible presence of creation gives people pride of place; something that residents can look at and say “that’s in MY hometown”. We want to be leaders in Cramerton to make sure that everyone has access to art. Because art is rad and everyone deserves some art in their life!

  • We LOVE music. Any kind of music. It’s the background to our lives and has the power to reach our souls. A good concert has the power to erase a bad work week. A great song can change your life. You can see why it’s so important for us to bring live music to the community - because it has the power to BUILD community.

  • We love the outdoors. Running, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, disc golf, cornhole… you name it and it’s our jam! We pretty much want you to love it too, which is why we think it’s important to be a downtown presence that makes it easy for you to get active and maybe even help you meet some friends along the way!

  • Did you know that clean drinking water makes for better beverages? Get refreshed with an ice-cold craft beer or cider that’s made with water from the Catawba River Basin. For all of the reasons why it’s so important to keep our river happy and healthy, we think enjoying a tasty beverage is high up on the list!

Confluence operates as a “Private Club” that is owned and operated by Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization based in McAdenville, NC.  All giving members of Catawba Riverkeeper are automatically members of Confluence. To join our work preserving, protecting, and restoring the waters of the Catawba River Basin by becoming a full member, click here. Limited memberships are available at Confluence for $1 and will be added to your tab at the time of purchase.

THE Partners

Catawba Riverkeeper FOundation.

The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation is led by a dedicated group of full-time staff, part-time staff, volunteer board members, and community volunteers. Their mission is to protect the Catawba-Wateree River basin, which they do by focusing on threats to clean water through monitoring and addressing coal ash issues, permitted pollution discharges, stormwater runoff, concentrated animal feeding operations, and preventing waterborne diseases. They’re pretty much the MVP’s of keeping our river safe for you drink and play in. They support this mission by encouraging engagement with and opportunities to learn about the Catawba River. To find out more about them, check out their website.

South Fork Collective.

What is the South Fork Collective, you ask? Well, it’s a super fancy way of saying that municipalities, non-profits, and for-profit users of the river have come together to ensure the health of the South Fork River in North Carolina. (It’s kind of not so great right now, if you didn’t know.) The South Fork is the largest tributary of the Catawba River with its own unique history, particular set of challenges, and its own story to tell. Proceeds from Confluence go directly into supporting the health of the South Fork River - hey, we live here after all! To find out more about this organization, check out their website.

Cramerton Parks & Recreation.

Parks & Rec in Cramerton is so much more than what you’ll see on a show (no matter how easy Leslie Knope makes it look!). With a focus on bringing all kinds of recreation opportunities to citizens of the town, the Cramerton Parks & Rec Department hosts sports teams for kids, throws their annual Goat Island Games event every year with LOTS of prizes up for grabs, adds trails to every inch of the town possible, and looks to protect our environment while doing it. We are proud to work with them at Confluence and to continue to support the recreation needs of the town.

Human Powered Movement.

Human Powered Movement’s mission is to facilitate greater human-powered experiences in all of us. Their platform promotes, encourages, and inspires more activity in people’s lives. They facilitate that activity through in-person events, virtual challenges, authentic outdoor content, and educational clinics. They lead by example and joyfully enable others along the way.

Human Powered Movement provides a unique aspect to Confluence with a focus on casting a net beyond water-related activities and including cycling, running, hiking, climbing, and more!
