"art is really about the sociology of the artist, where ideas come from, and the confluence of those ideas."

Support Art on the River

  • Buy from Local Artists

We think local artists should have a place to display and sell their art. A place where people feel comfortable walking in off the street, grabbing a drink, and checking out local art without feeling under-dressed. We want to support our local art scene and help facilitate the connection between artist and buyer, without it being over-complicated or fussy.

  • Learn from Local Artists

Take a class taught by a local artist and learn a new skill! Whether you are interested in acrylic painting, watercolors, embroidery, weaving, macrame, knitting, jewelry making, or pottery, you are sure to find something that interests you. Stay up to date with our rotating schedule of single-evening classes and more in-depth workshops!

  • Watch an Artist at Work!

With our own Artist in Residence, you’ll get to see an artist at work! Artist in Residency programs are important because they give artists the space and time to explore their creativity in ways that they may otherwise not be able to experience! Thanks to Gaston County Tourism, we were able to offer Laura Sexton a space where she could create over her summer break!

Call For Artists!

We are seeking artists who would like to showcase and sell their work in our dedicated arts gallery on a rotating basis.
