On Sunday, November 2 from 5-7PM your host, and word master, Wendy, will be here to quiz your spelling knowledge PLUS with games for the audience too, there’s some fun for everyone!

Round after round, contestants will take turns spelling words in a single elimination challenge, after which the winners of each round will participate in the championship finals and win prizes!

Don't want to stand up in front of everyone? That's ok! There will be word games for the audience to play as well, with a chance at prizes of their own!

The band started out as a weekly Jam circle in the "Woodshed" behind Chip's house and now plays a few gigs a year for nonprofit fund raiser events for the Foothills Conservancy and the Lake James Environmental Association, as well as a few gigs a year at Camp Lake James in Nebo, NC on Friday nights in the Summer.

Live Music with Creatures of the Sun

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Creatures of the Sun dish out a hazy mix of surf and garage rock that’s equal parts raw and infectious. Jangly, reverb-soaked guitar riffs, pulsing rhythms and catchy melodies draw inspiration from the rebellious energy of 60's garage rock legends like The Kinks, the driving edge of The Strokes, and the unruly charm of The Black Lips. They deliver a sound made for late nights, loud speakers and endless motion.
