4th of July pre and post celebration
Join us at Confluence before, during and after the Town’s 4th of July Celebration for good vibes, great drinks, including adult juice pouches to go, and some (more than likely much needed) air conditioning. For more details on the Town’s schedule of events, go here.
Stick around after the fireworks for some karaoke with Baxters DJ Service. Karaoke will begin as the fireworks end and go until midnight.

Live Music with Woodshed Collective
The Woodshed Collective is a Bluegrass Jam Band playing Traditional Bluegrass songs, along with Rock, Americana, and Folk tunes with a Bluegrass flavor. Rob Kirby (Banjo and Vocals), Matt Bartels (Guitar and Vocals), Chip Whitfield (Mandolin) and Dan Leich(Fiddle) make up the band.
The band started out as a weekly Jam circle in the "Woodshed" behind Chip's house and now plays a few gigs a year for nonprofit fund raiser events for the Foothills Conservancy and the Lake James Environmental Association, as well as a few gigs a year at Camp Lake James in Nebo, NC on Friday nights in the Summer.
Three members of the band live on the Catawba River so they understand the importance of the mission of Catawba Riverkeeper! We are excited for their support and for their performance!

Human Powered Movement South Fork Sampler Event
The "Sampler" is back in multisport action on June 1, 2025!
This scavenger hunt style adventure race features 2 different beginner friendly options to choose from. Each course will task individuals and teams to paddle, bike, and run to various checkpoints while sampling the endless natural beauty throughout the historic South Fork River in Gaston County, just minutes west of Charlotte, NC.

Welcome to Silent Book Club. If you’re looking for a way to meet other readers while also getting some reading done, look no further. We’re excited to host this once a month so that you can have some dedicated reading time in a new, fun spot alongside other book lovers.
This book club is the easiest one you’ll ever be a part of because there’s no pressure. Simply bring whatever book you’re currently reading, come by, and read it. That’s it.
Here’s a break down of how we’ll spend the time together:
2:00-2:30pm – People arrive, order drinks, share what they’re reading
2:30-3:30pm – Quiet reading hour
3:30-4:00pm – Optional socializing, or just keep reading
This event is free. Just come by and look for others holding books. Then you’ll know you’ve found your people.

Riverfest
Riverfest will start in McAdenville at 11 am with music, art and vendors. Then you can join the floating concert (ticketed) with Hiram down the South Fork to Cramerton. The music will continue in Confluence until 8:15pm. But don’t leave just yet, Baxter’s DJ Service will be hosting karaoke to round out the evening.
All concerts are free to attend, except for the Floating Concert which will be a ticketed event.
